I've cleared up through SR 60 with the build unfinished and it can liquify even bosses if you can position yourself well. I'm still working out the kinks and it was kind of a pain to level, but overall I'd strongly recommend the build to anyone who wants to play a caster in Grim Dawn and likes to burn stuff. You also have Blast Shield and Phoenix Fire to give you phat damage absorption and Mirror as your 'oh shit' button.

I use Mythical White Lotus and the Salvation relic for short cooldown burst healing, which almost always procs on CD because AAR hits 5 times a second. Vindictive Flame, the Pyran's set, and Essence of the Grim Dawn give the build a ton of life regen and even some life leech for AAR. It also has different skills to keep itself from harm. Speaking of survivability, freezing enemies is not the only defense mechanism of this build. It's also surprisingly durable for a caster build. Cold Caster Spellbreaker (Arcanist + Nightblade) This build can cast variety of cold and frostburn skills that often freezes enemies, preventing them from attacking. With Thermite Mines, various item procs, and the Meteor Storm devotion proccing off of AAR the entire screen fills up with fire really quickly, it's a blast to play. The build uses Hexflame and Mark of Ulzuin to convert AAR to full fire damage, and I settled on the Pyran's set to boost the base stats and convert Devastation to pure fire damage as well. I managed to finish kitting out my AAR Sorceress yesterday, and holy hell is it a blast. Whenever possible, class combinations provided required only the base game.
